Abigale Miller bio
Abigale Lee
Miller (born on September 21, 1965) is a famous American choreographer, dance
instructor, and reality television personality. She is the founder of the Abby
Lee Dance Company, which was featured on the reality series Dance Moms for
eight seasons. Miller pleaded guilty in June 2016 to fraudulent bankruptcy in
the felony category. Miller was sentenced to one and one-half years in federal
prison. She was released on the 27th of March 2018. In April of 2018 she was
diagnosed with lymphoma. the type of cancer that rendered her ineligible to
walk. She now uses a wheelchair to get around. Miller was born in Penn Hills,
Pennsylvania. Her mom taught her dance at Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller
aged 14 at the time, was tasked with choreography and coaching for one of her
mother's dance teams. Miller became the sole owner of the studio and renamed
Reign Dance Productions in 1995. Miller became certified by Dance Masters of
America and became a part of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter #10 in 1986,
however, her membership was revoked in February 2012 after which the DMA
declaring that Miller's reality show Dance Moms was "a total mistake in
the representation of our dance educators and their students . It's negative
for the dance profession."
